Resolutions Opposing the Generation, Transportation and Burial of Nuclear Waste

2025

Chiefs of Ontario Resolution from their Fall Assembly expressing opposition to the transportation and burial of radioactive waste.

Anishinabek Nation’s Resolution, from their Fall Grand Council Assembly (ANISHINABEK GIMAAG-MAAWNJIIDIWAAD), NAAKNIGAN – #2025 – 25, concerning Nuclear Waste Transportation and Burial in Anishinabek Nation Lands, restating opposition to the transportation and burial of radioactive wastes including the transportation of high-level nuclear fuel waste through their territories.

Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre Resolution, urging the Nuclear Waste Management Organization to establish secure storage solutions for nuclear waste in the vicinity of the reactor stations where the waste has been generated and is currently stored and to not pursue the transport, burial and abandonment of these radioactive wastes.
